| Little Eden is situated in the thickly forested and mountainous Mae Hong Son Province (Northwest Thailand). The Mae Hong Son Province borders Burma on two sides and has some of the most beautiful natural scenery in Thailand. There you will find huge limestone caves, spectacular waterfalls and an incredible mosaic of ethnic groups. | ||||||||

Little Eden is located in the Shan village Pangmapa (Soppong), at the bank of the Nam Lang River. Pangmapa is the trading and market centre for the many hilltribe villages of the Pangmapa district. The population is about 40% Burmese Shan, 40% hilltribe (mostly Lisu, Lahu and Karen), and 20% Thai. In Pangmapha there is a market, a supermarket, a small pharmacy, a hospital, a car repair shop and a gas filling station (closing at 18.00 o´clock). In Pangmapa there are no banks or money changers, but there is an ATM at the police station (about 1.5 km from the center, towards Mae Hong Son). |
